Locate Print Spooler and confirmed the StartUp type is Automatic and that there are no files in c:\windows\system32\spool\printers. I checked my Administrative Tools, Services. I am able to communicate with the Printer, as I can tell the printer to print a test page and to scan a document and send it to my PC, but I cannot print from any other programs such as Microsoft Word or Excel, Firefox, etc. I have tried printing from USB and wireless without success. The printer I am trying to print to is a Kodak ESP 5250. Without Spooling ALL have met without success.

(as suggested under a 10/27/09 Forum post) 4) the problem started when my PC installed an update to Adobe Reader 10.4 (coincidence?) so I uninstalled all Adobe programs and reinstalled Flash, AIR, and Shockwave and 5) tried printing directly to the printer I have followed these fixes without success: 1) uninstalled all printers and reinstalled my primary printer 2) use Microsoft Printer Fix-It (which found no problems) 3) deleted the contents of folders C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers I have a Windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell Studio Laptop.
